Gerry Spitzner

Gerry helps Pharmacists and healthcare practitioners to develop winning business management strategies for their practice so they can focus on patient-centred care. An entrepreneurial thinker, speaker, workshop leader, writer, and business development advisor; he is an optimist with a curiosity for improving life and business results who believes in helping people achieve leadership, professional and business success.

Drawing on senior level experience in regional retail Pharmacy operations, multi-drug store ownership, and Pharmaceutical wholesale supply-chain sales; Gerry brings his clients the unique advantage of retail and wholesale strategic leadership, with knowledge and market awareness of the highly regulated healthcare sector. He understands who they are, what they need, and where to find it; inspiring them to achieve their practice and business objectives balanced with meeting the needs of today’s health care consumers and patients.

Gerry’s passion is to help drive performance and innovation providing a solution oriented focus with ideas and alternatives that clients can use to address the changing practice management issues they face right now. He is passionate about integrating technology and digital health into community practice settings and believes in a collaborative approach by health care practitioners activating their common patients to take charge of their total health beyond the pill by making the best use of information based care plans.

Originally from Winnipeg, Gerry and his wife are long-time residents of the North Shore and have two adult daughters who are pursuing their own careers. He is a regular lecturer at UBC Pharmacy and speaker at Small Business BC. His volunteer activities include mentoring Pharmacy students at UBC and entrepreneurs at the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs. In his spare time Gerry and his wife enjoy the arts, live theatre, hockey, football, NASCAR & F1 racing and pairing wine with healthy cooking.
